TEA CHI/CHADO TEA
The botanical nature of tea or camellia sinensis is given a deeper consideration by the abundance of tea leaves scattered through the paintings. In both panels tea stems reflect the structure of plant, with the bud, (white tea), and the larger leaves that form green & black tea. Purple tea (a variant of the plant from Kenya, Africa) occupies a visual element to counter the optics of the green aspects of the plant. The flowering white camellia sinensis with their yellowing buds emits a highlight of evolution resonant to the vibrations of the energy matrix of the composition. The flower and leaves, along with the red oolong tea cups within the tea field circle, seem to hover as if caught within the flux of infusion.
